period , set up a residence in Hitoichiba of Toki Village (Mizunami City
, Gifu Prefecture) , built a castle in Kono and called it "Tsuruga
Castle" and ruled Mino Province. @His grandson , Yorisada , who was appointed as a guardian of the Muromachi period and built the source of Toki clan's properity , also imitated Mitsuhira and ruled Mino province here. @In addition to this , this castle is famous as the castle of Yorikane , who was defeated in Kyoto with Kuninaga Tajimi during the Seityuhen in 1324 (following Emperor Go-Daogo and carring out the defeat of the Kamakura Shogunate). He is Yorisada's 10th child. From then on , until the battle of Sekigahara , it was also called "Kono Castle" or "Toki Castle" , and its name is listed in the history of the war. @Mino Genji is a general term for the Toki clan and vassals who lived in
valious part of Mino from the end of the Heian period to the Kamakura period.
Mitsuhira Toki who served Yoritomo Minamoto and became a guardian of Mino
Providence , grew in power here (Kanbe Castle , Kokufuya Castle , Kono
Castle) , and his descendants prospered with the Kamakura Shogunate. @After the fall of the Kamakura Shogunate and the rise of Kenmu Restoration , Yorisada was appointed to protect Mino Province with the rise of Takauji Ashikaga , and is the great-grandson of Mitsuhira. Yorisada lived in Hitoiciba Building until he moved to Takada (Hisajiri , Toki City , Gifu Prefecture). During the Muromachi period , Toki clan was proud of their power as a guardian of Mino Province for 11 generations. Yorisada is the ancestor of the rise of Restoration.
